Finally got tranny in a vise and took off the engine side cover over the shaft and put the 8" pipe wrench on it.....gently moving and it popped loose.... I think the balls in the bearing had rusted....snapping noise but moved ok after. Really tight but not grinding....moved some of the gears around and they seemed to engage  ok. Gears look pretty good . It soaking in cleaner now  ...Anybody have the bearing numbers I would need for it handy...with the seals on one side at least.

I sprayed down the brake bands with PB and checked the oil level plugs in the bull gear casing...didn`t run out but had some down below that appears to be new 30wt.....

It still doesn`t want to roll ...gonna check plug in differential and see if it full of water. The way the drive shaft cover bolts up to it doesn`t allow any water to get out and if the seals ain`t no better than the tranny its probably full of water too!

Ain`t it fun !

If spraying from cans, try liquid wrench.

Anyways, glad she is free. Now the real work starts

The double sided sealed output shaft bearing is Fafnir 204PP. The input shaft bearing without any seals is Federal 1205-CG and this bearing has an outer snap ring. A bearing supplier can get you the part number for this bearing with seals.

Outer bearing with snap ring on outside may be too big of ring. Might need to use old one, save it and carefully remove.  The new ones are slightly bigger OD and will not let the bearing retainer (part throw-out rides on) fit on over it. The cut-outs in the retainer are not enough to clear the new ones. Also make sure that retainer has good smoth surface for the throw-out bearing to ride on and no ridges or they will make it bind and have clutch release issues.

There are a growing number of people using sealed bearings on the front and rear with good results.
