found this JD mower on kerbside last weekend PB100021.JPG

seem to have good compression & turns over ok PB100022.JPG

but has the plastic cover missing on the underside of the handle bar grip part  section

PB100023.JPG & the throttle cable is missing , that's all i can see wrong with it on

the external view

this next 1 is a regular sort i got the same day , & yes it goes well with no smoke ,

the rubber primer diafram was stuck inside the carbie so just gave it a harder push or 2 on the primer bubble & it started to prime up & it started 2nd pull , no clue what to do with it

though PB100024.JPG i love people that know nothing about mowers or i would not get them

Kenny , it is very new looking except for the abuse it has suffered , it also has the muffler bolts screwed off too so will be another bit to fix ,

the engine has no oil in it either but when i pulled it there was no excess rattles so might be lucky as it has the oil sensor on it

but i will keep it when i get it going for my J D collection to make 3 items , the other mower is as new i reckon

Trav1s , no kidding m8 ,but it's these people i like for what i end up getting from them , as some people have no concept of machinery at all

Shane,

I hope your luck continues!  My last $5 purchase has become my favorite push mower in the shed.  Looking forward to see how this plays out for you.
