got this little Machine  last weekend PB090009.JPG it is a Scott-Bonnar lawn edger

this is the cutter side of it in principle same as a mower cutter  about 3 to 3.5 HP maybe

                                                       PB090008.JPG

it had the typical Kirby engine by dechumsy PB090010.JPG

                             PB090011.JPG

it has good compression  but missing the air filter parts which i should have some place around

It is an odd 1 as it's got the 6 wheels not 3 , so a early type , has a plate but got to see if it's readable

will be keeping this 1 but for whaT REASON i don't know  , maybe a trim saw for rough cutting thin wood

It is interesting but, I hope that you don't plan to use it. It looks very dangerous to me. I would not trust the pivot nor the shield. Good Luck, Rick

it was manufactured like that so must be safe to a degree lol , they are still made here but in smaller & tidier versions petrol & electric types ,

i had the idea of mounting it on rails & changing the cutter to a saw blade to use rough cutting small timber maybe , just an idea
