That is the surgery they did.  According to my wife(she knows everything).

After reading that I am unsure what she was talking about with the 4 valves not properly functioning.  I am a little confused.  Medical stuff is however not my strong point....

My wife is a retired doctor and I'm the same as you! :D

My wife said he is in a lot of pain. He is allergic to all of the big pain killers. They cause his breathing to fall and he ends up on the vent.

Thank you guys for the prayer and support. I told my wife and mother in law the tractor guys were pulling for him and praying. They appreciate it

That's funny, my wife was an RN and went to medical school while working and we were raising 2 kids. She wanted it bad!

I have tried to push my wife into getting her nurse practitioner license.  She won't go for it.

I'd love for her to do that, and I can "retire" or at least go from 50-60+ hours a week down to a regular 40 hour week...

Sounds like he's a tuff one. That means a lot the will of a man can conquer a lot. Glad for the good news...still praying for good reports & managing the meds for his comfort.

Today has been a rough day. His heart rate all over. Dropping to 60 then racing up to 140. Up and down. They gave him medicines and it's still going crazy. He said it hurts to breath and he is panting like a dog. His o2 saturation is low. Not sure what their plan is.

My wife is still down at the hospital.

Edit wife just told me he was out back in ICU and his heart rate is still over 150

Hope things calm down.
When you're having trouble breathing, it's hard to calm down.

Still in ICU, but he is able to set up now, and his heart rate has settled a bit.  Hopefully we are on the up swing and he will get stronger.

Good to hear he's going home & doing better. Nothing like going home after being in the hospital.
