One thing I could never figure out is why they make all these engines with a slanted cylinder . It makes them a real pain in the rear end. Does anyone know the reason. This was done?

Sets lower for under hoods or other compact reasons? Or, bet same boring machines used for V-twins as singles, so has angled bore bar. Yep, sounds more right that way.

I wish they made them with the cylinder vertical like the old flat heads, would be a lot easier for repowering.

Why they are slanted ??? Hondas way of doing it I guess.

They're not the first ones to be slanted

I just went to the local small engine place like 1/2 hour ago, to get points and condenser for my son's cub Original and front/center behind the counter is a brand new Honduh GX on display/for sale and I was just wondering the same thing.
