I know what it is.  Do you?

This is selling at auction tomorrow about 2 miles from me.  Thought it was pic-worthy.

They didn't know what DNA was back then.  If you needed a drink of water you went to a galvanized tub and dipped out drinking water with a ladle.  The same ladle everyone else used.

Or a pork & bean can hanging on a wire on the pump!  We used wooden water kegs in the fields.

You need to buy the bath tub though!   :D   :D   :D

I'm thinkin Chieffan has some stories he could tell.  :worshippy1:

Anyone wanna guess what this bathtub brought at the auction?

I wish I had better pictures of it.  I know my brother sat in it and had his pic taken but that likely won't show any more detail.

When/if I get that pic I'll share.

I'll let a few people guess before I tell.

[hint]

it cost more than the pickup I drove to the auction.  NO JOKE!!!

Hot as it's been, put some ice cold water in that thing & enjoy!  Kind of the opposite of what it was intended for, but it is hot out!

Crazy money indeed!

Pete guessed 250 and that's what I guessed before it came up for bid.

Neither one of us was close.   Think higher, much higher.

Any more guesses?
