Found a Cub 123 on CL yesterday.  It came with a tiller, deck, and a small trailer.  After talking with the owner we agreed on a price and time I could pick it up at.  After 550 miles round trip I got home and this is what she looks like.  I will try to get the motor running later this week.

This tractor was used at a plant nursery near Salem Oregon.  It had been in the same family sense it was purchased new.  The tiller looks like it was used a lot but I'm ok with that because I won't be using it very much.

The deck is very solid.

I was told that the trailer is hard to find because it was meant more for LT's not GT's.  One of the bolts that attach the axle to the bottom of the bucket has pulled through but it is still in descent condition.

That looks pretty good. Got the hydraulic pump too! Good score with the implements.

I tried starting the motor on the 123 today.  All it would do is spin freely with no compression.  I think the intake valve is stuck open.  I can feel the exhaust valve moving through the exhaust port.  I suppose there could be some carbon causing the exhaust to not fully close.  I'll have to pull the head to see what is wrong.  I'm glad that it spun freely without making any loud metallic sounds.

This tractor will be for my daughter.  She had a big smile on her face when I told her.  Having 3 out of 4 member of the family involved in tractors makes it a lot easier to argue for more! :smilewink:

Very good find there Mark!

Thanks Kevin!

I wish I could find them closer to home!  Those 500 mile trips make it hard to justify to the wife! :D

Nice 123, the hydraulic lift is a nice and very expensive add on.

I know you already have one for Alice, so what will you be using it for?  Do you have another project in the works?

I'm trading the pump I have for this one. Makes it a lot easier to install.
