So I may have an opportunity to purchase another project. Early '70s Massey with electric start and hydro. No attachments. Currently it doesn't run. Any ideas if this unit is desirable if running and what they're going for.

MF8 8hp briggs Bet It will run without much work if the rod isn't broke.

I've been trying to sell my MF7 with a good solid deck for $250 for a couple months and haven't had any bites yet.

You must've gotten the spark straightened out.

Years ago I recall my dad had a MF 7 with deck. Shortly after he picked it up for $35 not running, repaired a ground and fired right up. Then scored a snowblower for $60 and kept all the neighbors happy for many winters. The old Massey's are solid!
