That hole will easily flow the max volume your charge pump can put out.

That was in the side of the pump for a return fitting. Something is causing every valve I put on there to leak at the rear of the spool.

Your rear fill cap/ vent is working correctly? My dad's leaked like a sieve out the front and rear. He took it apart and replaced the o rings now it's spotless, I need to do this to my 125 as well as it is starting to leak too. That fitting is used the balance the speed of a hydraulic cylinder, they use them on small backhoes for instance, on the main boom cylinders so it goes up and down smooth and linear.

Vent should be fine, it's high enough. I'm going to check a few more fittings, but it gets hot early around here. I don't like taking the fittings apart inside due to the mess.

Had to take yesterday off as my hand was hurting from changing the valves back out. Found a kit for the 2-spool. I'll get it in a week or so.

Hydraulics are like electricity to me, half science, half black magic.

I'm learning!

Are the o-rings in these a Viton type?

The orings can be viton or Buna N or even Diesegren ( a whitish cream color) all will work, but viton is the best choice, diesegren are very $$$$ and made for extreme preasures and harsh environment.

Well, I finally have ordered the o-rings for the 2 spool valve. Also ordered a 2000 PSI liquid filled gauge to check pressure. Have to plumb in a tee to hook the gauge up.

I got the gauge on it. Had an issue with a fuel line to fix to get her to run. Anyway here is what I found.

DSCN2396.JPG

Here is what it shows at full throttle.

DSCN2397.JPG

And here is what I get when I operate the lift handle.

DSCN2399.JPG

At a fast idle, pressure drops to 200 and slowly climbs back to 300.

If there is a restriction, it has to be in the cylinder fittings and I will have to take it out of the tractor to get to them.

Here's the fuel line I had the issue with. Good stuff Motorcraft puts out.

I also pulled this plug (see arrow) to see if there was a restriction there. Looked all clear!

Have you tried putting the gauge on the return side of the valve to see if there is a high restriction

Not yet, but since it is an open center, didn't think that was needed. Would think it would read the same on both sides? Don't know! I'm no even sure what the readings above show.
