If you have a 38 inch mower 917.252031, the blade's Sears part number is 2464R.

You can download a copy of the manual at stripmine.org/sears.

Good luck,

Jim

Will that deck also fit on a 67 Sears Custom 6?
I know where I can get one, it came off of a Suburban Compact 7 Mower Deck # 917.252031. I just want to make sure it'll fit before getting it. Thanks

Yeah, good luck is right. Just try to find those blades. Even the washers are almost impossible to find now. If you know who or where the 2464R blades can be found please let me know. I did get a lead on some Murry blades that were supposed to fit, and the hub cutout was similar, but not quite the same size. I need spare blades as the ones I got are worn and sharpening keeps making them smaller and smaller.

I found a reference here on GTalk to Oregon 95-013 blades as a direct replacement for the 2464R.

They are still listed as available on http://www.partsimpl...3-ore-n-36.html for $13.43 each.

Good luck again,

Jim

Well it looks the same in the picture but partsimple lists them as no longer available too. :(

Well I'm going to bump this post to the top and try to get some help with this one. I've searched tirelessly and came up empty handed looking for after market blades for my mower. If anyone has any leads on these blades it would be great.

On the flip side, I know a lot of you guys make what you need. My other thought has been to modify a blade adapter made for another type of center hole to fit the shaft from the 90% gear box. Has anyone gone that route and if so what adapter did you use? Just trying to save some time before I run with this down a road already traveled. Any ideas???????

If there is anyone with this mower deck that needs blades this might be last chance to get some. As of my search this blade is discontinued from Oregon and the thread link is to a clearance sale of left over stock. I bought 2 sets for my deck (4 blades) and that should get me through more than a couple summers but I bet next year these might be long gone for good. It looks as if they have more in stock right now but who knows how many before there all gone. Just an FYI if you got one of these small mower decks with the 90 degree gear boxes on it. Mine cuts great and gets me into a lot of tight spots with a 38" cut.

Well I need to retract my post. :( They emailed me that they only had 1 left in stock and the supplier was out of stock and blades were now obsolete. I think I'm going to cry now. LOL I guess my search continues for a least 1 more blade.
