I need some opinions here.

I have a friend that has been looking for a 10" Brinly plow. For those that were up at Cochranton Plowday, his name is Jeff & he had the Cub 100.

This morning, he stopped at my house to show me the almost new 12" Brinly plow he picked up. It's been used little, and stored well.

My question is: how should I advise him as to what to ask. He's going to have his wife Craigslist it. His goal is to end up with a 10" plow to pull behind the Cub. I know the 12" are worth a little more than the 10's, but how much more? I told him he should be able to end up with a 10" + a little cash.

Thanks for the input, I want to give him the best advice I can, so I am going to the experts. :D

Yeah, I might tell him to try to contact some people first and see if anyone wants to trade and if not just put it on there as possible trade for 10". I wouldn't even say price on there, probably wanna compare plows first. From what I have seen though, all else equal, the 12" is worth about $50 more than a 10".

I too would love to trade a 10" towards the 12", but shipping would drive up the cost considerably.

Yeah, I immediately thought of a couple of you guys, but then thought of UPS getting rich on the deal.

You know, it appears the main arms & all are identical. If so, all that would have to be shipped is the moldboard assembly. That would lower cost.

Alan, I will trade the 10 inch I had on the Case 444 at Plow day for the 12 inch in that picture. I am also going to be getting another 10 or 12 here this week for myself (hope its the 12 it was advertised as).

Casey, passed the message on to his answering machine, told him to call me if he wants to do an even trade. I'll give him your # if he calls back.
