I just recently got into garden tractors and have a Case. Am supposed to also get a Cub Cadet, don't even know what it is except for free and needs a fuel pump. I joined this site because of the Cadet and I also have an HH120 that I need to do something with. Never really had anything to do with MTF, so I can't give an opinion. I have heard others with bad experiences so I just don't bother. This site is enough for my non-Case needs. All I want to know is... what's up with this Hydriv guy?:laughingteeth::rocker2:

"But seriously,Tom knows Case tractors ,I'd have to call him a 'spert.:D " Yep, I agree. I learn something about Case GT's from him almost everyday. I would like to do the old "Vulcan mind transfer" on him, but stuff other than GT's in his brain would be wayyyyy to scary!

Yup, never good to make enemies, so I don't try to. But if you don't have enemies anywhere, then you never stood up for anything you believe in.:welcometogttalk:

Well I guess Springfield #1 is going under the torch! Parts parts parts.:shoot2::bigrofl:

[QUOTE=NUTNDUN;63992 MTF has always been known to have their cliques[/QUOTE]

How right you are George, I still somewhat enjoy MTF, but I have noticed over the past few months something seems different over there... oh wait I found this site! It's nice to post and have some feedback( GTTalk makes you welcome from day 1), over there if your not in the click then...

And one thing about MTF cliques is that if you aren't in their cliques, you will never fit in. Your days are numbered by how many you can stand before you face the facts and get out while you have dignity. Me, I left on a different note, I told them exactly how I saw it, and guess what... I got banned. :rofl2:

I told them exactly how I saw it too..................and I got banned as well. But since I have no dignity...... it didn't matter. :bigrofl:

I just followed George's lead and started my own forum. :smilewink::smilewink::smilewink::smilewink:

All sites can, and usually do, have cliques. It usually comes from members getting friendly and knowing each other until it seems like to outsiders and new members that it's a clique.

As for MTF, I'm still a member there and it's an okay site, but too much misinformation and some of it is marked as a "sticky" like it's the gospel (but it's false information on some of it). I don't hardly visit there anymore as I kept getting conflicting information about linking to other sites. First I couldn't do it in my signature, then I couldn't do it in my posts, then I couldn't do it at all, then I could do it in my posts but not my signature. Then one mod told me I was being watched because I pointed out some false information. So I told that mod, don't worry about it, I'm done. I haven't really been back since except maybe to lurked about once a month.

I think sites like this one and mtf is good as it's non-brand specific, but you should be able to point members who have specific questions on a particular brand to the right site. I would want my family doctor to recommend a specialist if I needed one, so why would a site like mtf object to you directing a member to the right source? Just my 2 cents on it.

I'm probably being watched, as I keep trying to get some to come here. I have one thread on a mid-mount grader blade that has some great build info in it. I'm wanting to put one on the GTV/16, and he is doing a good job with pics. I just don't like the absence of manuals there and new people keep starting new threads about problems that having manuals would clear up. Lets face it, there's no place like GT Talk.

My biggest gripe with MTf is that no one will tell the "new guys" to use the search function. Everytime another "one post wonders" starts a thread like "Help it wont start", you get the same rehashed answers over and over again. So when you do hit the "new post" button you get 22 pages of the same useless crap that has been covered before. One of my most dreaded "new" threads to see over there is "Loading tires". It usually pops up once a month and nobody will link the new thread to the previous 1000 discusions on loading tires or tell them to use the search function.

Here ya go Coldone: http://gardentractor...ded-tires-4051/ Or you could have searched for it! LOL Yep, you're right about the search function not being utilized enough.

I feel the search function should be utilized but I am also not against someone posting asking for help if it has been covered before. Either linking them to a thread or kindly suggesting the search would be ideal. I don't like it when people get rude about telling someone to use the search. A lot of times though if it is something the staff catches or someone points it out we can merge the threads.

And I agree with you too George. Especially a new member likes personal responses, rather than told to search. It can put a new member off & they may leave.
