In yesterdays thread I said that I'm able to comb CL more now. I came across a Case 220 for $50 and called the guy. I was first caller and he held it for me until today. It runs but needs a bunch of TLC. I went there today and met a very nice guy who is only a couple of years older, a fellow Army vet, and a gear head to the max. He plans to sell his place soon so he's cleanning out 40 years of accumulations. I bought the Case and he gave me two more LTs. I told him that would put my tractor count up to 90. He said that at one point he had 30 motorcycles and three hot rods.
He drove the Case onto my trailer and gave me an old generator that worked after the last hurricane, 6 years ago, I think. He then gave me a bunch of miscellaneous that he was pulling out to take to the dump tommorrow. Unbelieveable; old automotive tools, hardware sets, 20+ classic hub caps and beauty rings, parts for my 85 C10 and lots of other treasures.
I got it home.
When looking under the milk crate in back, I believe that it has a sleeve hitch under there. The last pic is one of my black oaks stripped. An unfortunate birds nest was exposed. That was probably the end of it. I now need to find out what I can about the sleeve hitch and how to make the rod for it. Good Luck, Rick
