Hi All,

Would anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1971 AC 310 garden tractor, The owners manual for our 410 has a different coil and PTO than the 310. I would like too get this rewired soon.

Thank you,
Mike

Howdy from NW PA!

If that is a simplicity built unit, you may be in luck. Let me do a little sleuthing & get back to you.

:welcome: to GTTalk!

 case442 Welcome to GTTalk! Great to have you with us! I'm afraid that I don't have the information that you're looking for though. Hopefully someone will come along soon who can help. I know exactly where Sewickly is! My oldest Son was born at Sewickly Hospital! I live near New Castle these days though. We hope that you enjoy the forum and come back often. Looking forward to hearing more about your 310 and maybe seeing some pics!

It doesn't appear that there is an identical Simplicity version of the 310, but the 3310 seems close.

Here is the parts manual for both the hydro and vari versions of the 3310. May not be exact, but on pg49 of the PDF, there is a wiring diagram.

Hope this helps, if it's not right or close enough, please let us know.

Hi All,

Thank you for the replies, my 310 wiring does not seem to be the same as the simplicity 3310. I guess my question is the 310 has a single wire magneto and not a coil as our 410 model does, however I have a wire remaining that is coming out of the points cover and I don't know were this goes.

By the way I also have a 1959 700 simpicity with a push blade, wheel weights and chains balast counter weight original dumping yard cart with brakes, and a 42" sickle mower. As well as a1948 model D walk behind with the cultivators and a 30" sickle mower.

Is that a single cyl Briggs? If so the 2 wires external to the cover are kill wires. One goes to the switch, and one to the mag. If these are disconnected it'll run, but not shut down. Do you have a picture of the area you're talking about? If so, post it and we will try to help.

Here's a link to another post regarding a similar situation. http://gardentractor...age2/#post61695

And a continuation of the problem. http://gardentractor...ss-2012-a-6237/

As far as I know, Allis-Chalmers built the 300 & 400 Series, not Simplicity.

The 300 & 400 series tractors should have Kohlers.

These are out of my 300 Series Service Manual
Just choose the type of ignition you have.

Breaker Point Ignition System

Magneto Ignition System

Hopefully, one of these will help.
