A guy around the corner has a H14 for sale, Or at least I think its a H14, someones took a paint brush to it,

Anyway theres a grass deck and a blower, the tractor is missing the key, but he said it was running when he parked it.

Anyway, its rough, but I think its restorable, what would that be worth?

Hard to say without pictures of it.... If the deck and blower are in decent shape and the tractor itself is complete I'd say anywhere from $150-350 would be a fair price....

I got talking to him after the post, he said $200 would take it, he more concerned about the new battery he put in it last year. Of course he let it sit outside all winter,

I'll go back tomorrow and get some pics, I did notice the posi locker seems to be siezed, I can spin the nut in.

I had a G14 and really like it, but I had to sell to get the 318,

Well I got it, it's sitting at my buddy shed.

I had to sell a really nice g14 with all the attachments to buy my jd318 awhile back. But then this bolens came up, not really wanting to part with my g14 in the first place...

I offered the guy 200 bucksand he wanted it gone, i haven't got it started yet but it turns over, she's not stuck and the battery still takes a charge.

Going to take another look at it this week, i'll post some pics, it's wreck, looks like someone tried to give it a coolers light paint job,

Jk

Well it's been a month till I got to it, about 30 mins of playing clearing old gas etc and it started!

Hydro appears to be working, the lift also appears to be working,

So far no smoke,

Let it sit for 24 hrs, walked to it, turned the key and it started right up. Kinda a tribute to bolens, I don't know how long this thing sat outside, but at least it's a good start to getting it operational again.

I'll have to post some pics, it's a wreck, going to be fun.

Excuse the messey shop, but here are some pics of my $200 wreck.
It runs now, but I need to put a carb kit into it, as the jets can't be adjusted without gas leaking. I just don't know why people don't take care of this stuff. If this guy could fix it with a wire or tape, instead of spending a dollar he would. I have attachments and the side panels, but focusing on getting operational again.

I like orginal colors, just me, I like it too look as close to the factory as it can get.

I wasn't planning on painting this one, but the TIN is in really good shape when you look at it. Ah, maybe I'll see what I can do with it.

The sad part is that someone really put some effor into this paint job, if only they used the right colours.

Just a note, I got the manual off this site. Turns out theres an adjustment on the foot pedal hydro control. Thanks GTTalk!, I have to tilt my foot too far forward.
