I have a CC 1512, or 882.  It has a real good Kubota Diesel engine in it, 15 hp.  I purchased a CC 1811 with a bad motor.  This one has power steering and everything works on it.  I think my 1512 has some hydro issues.  Can the Kubota diesel be put in the 1811 ?  Or would I be better swapping out the whole rear end?

The 1811 doesn't have power steering so someone must have added it at some point, I would switch the rearend and power steering to the 1512.

Not real sure the guy really knows what all he has.  When I talked to him sounded like an elderly gentleman.  Said it was complete except for the motor.  Had the clutch and all.  But he also said the electric lift work good also.  The price was right and will be within about 10 miles of him tomorrow delivering a tractor so I guess it is what it is.  Cosmetically it looks to be well taken care of.  Will know more tomorrow at this time.  Thinking will probably take case442's suggestion and swap the rear end over to mine.  Will see about power steering later.  Long drive tomorrow, 214 one way.

A hydro won't have a clutch and only the old narrow frame cubs ever had electric lift, unless this guy is seriously confused about what he has it doesn't sound like anything you'll be able to use.

To put the power steering system into the 1512, you have to pull the engine to swap out the steering collumn.  Been there, done that on a 782d(same basic diesel cub).  That being said, its still easier than having to swap out the dash, wiring harness ect to convert the 1811 into a diesel.  Mike
