Steve and his GF went fishing this morning! Brought home dinner! I haven't had fresh channel cat in years!

I love the spicy catfish at Crackle Barrel.Tried them once fried with butter and was the most bland tasting fish I ever had.

How do you prepare them?
Grilled with lemon or how?

Steve filleted them and is cooking them. I've not had filleted catfish before. We just skinned them and ate around the bones!

Have had deep-fried and whatever restaurants do to cook them and not bad. Never had a fresh one like that, sounds neat. The BONES thing would turn wife off instantly, she don't like fish much anyway unless it comes in frozen Squares, heh!

He made a batter dip and deep fried them. Even had hush puppies! That was great!!!!!!
