That picture is worth a 1000 words. I did not even start on mine because I had no clue as to how the wires go. So it looks like three wires to the condenser? I have two wires currently running from the condenser, one appears to run out to the stop button on the steering column. The other one runs across the back of the engine and into a box that sits behind the engine pulley sheave. That little box has a push button on it as if it were a stop button for the engine.

Where does your spark plug wire connect in your picture? I don't see it, I thought that it went onto the coil? Where do the other two wires on your condenser go in your picture? Gee I thought this was going to be a 10 minute job but I was wrong.Thank you for that picture it's certainly going to be very helpful to me.

If there are 3 wires connected to the condenser:  1 wire to stop switch, 1 wire to ignition points, 1 wire to primary side of the coil.

On some Kohler engines, there were only 2 wires connected to the condenser:  1 wire to ignition points and 1 wire to primary side of the coil.  .....A wire was run from the ignition points to the stop switch.

Excellent I'll be replacing the coil and condenser. It looks like I have one wire running from the stop switch and a 2nd wire running from the points box which I believe sits on the driver side of the engine and has the small push button on it. With that said it looks like bolens1000 picture is the same setup as what I have? Three wires connecting to the condenser (stop switch wire, points wire, primary coil wire). If that sounds right I'll give this a try. Thank you for your help and patients with this one. I love that little machine and can't wait to get it running again so that I can tow my mulch cart around the perennial gardens again.
