Saw an ad on CL for a 317 rear end. Called and went to look at it. Came home with a bit more and will return for more. Here's what I picked today!

Complete rear end with dual brakes

Misc. hardware to mount the hydro back up

I'll be going back soon to pick up a 140 H3 roller that has been taken apart some. No engine.

I've got a frame, rear end and front axle! Now what can I do with this? Got a nice 350 bored .030 and balanced. Might be a bit too much!

You read my mind.  If the 350 is too much, I've got a 4.3 v6 in the shop. :D       Rick

317 has the same rear as the 300 and 1978 316K, also later 140's, all are closed frame tractors. 318 is a open frame tractor.

Open v/s closed frame debate aside, the rear diff is the same as the 318.  The pump is the same except it has a different input shaft - I believe the 318/322/330/332 use a splined input.
