Two people went for a swim

In sludge that makes one grin

Covered in guck from bottom to top

Ends of their toes to the tip of their mop

Not sure why they went for a dip

Perhaps they lost footing and had a slip

Glad it was them and not someone like me

I'd sink to the bottom and stuck I'd be

Hope it is warm and not freezing cold

Bad enough that it looks like icky mold

Hope they get out and cleaned up ok

And don't have to forever there stay

Lisa had reached the end of her patience. Dave, on the way to church, once again slowed down going past Old Man Jenkin's place hoping to catch a glimpse of his prized JD X728 w/loader. Lo and behold, it was visible! It was parked at the end of the drive! With a For Sale sign on it!

Shaking, he slowed and pulled over. Nearly foaming at the mouth, he approached. Then, lights out.

Waking some time later, Dave was at the creek, his wife at his side, and the Minister stood on the bank chanting Latin. After the third dunk, she asked, "Is the demon gone?!"

Dave replied, "Honey, what are you doing? Someone else is going to get Jenkin's GT before me!"

Another dunk! Lisa asked again, "Is the demon still in there?"

"Honey, it's hydraulic all wheel drive!"

Another dunk!

The Minister paused, sipped some communion wine snuck out in a travel mug, and said: "Lord, grant me peace; we may be here awhile".

"Is that a '70 Torino GT?'

Another dunk.

And up through the ground came a-bubblin' crude.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
