craftsman II charging system help

hey got a question got a craftsman 917.255913 has briggs opposed twin 18 hp on it and electric pto my stator is shot I think and was wondering if the dual circuit  one would work in place of the dual diode one that's in it now ? the dual circuit has 2 wires coming out of the stator I believe a red and a white the red is charge and the other is lights would it work or do I need the same type that's on it not since it has a electric pto  thanks Jason

No it won't work, not enough amps from the dual stator to run the PTO. You need the single wire stator with the dual diode.
