The sight glass does not exist on my 314. It has been replaced by a piece of black rubber line with a fuel filter in line. Apparently this is a JD mod that was done at some point. Does anyone know why this was done and how you are supposed to keep track of hydro fluid levels?

Brian, I have no idea, but I would put the clear tubing back on it. Did you get your motor mount straightened out?

All my tractors with that set up have clear tubing on them. Thats the only way to check fluid levels.

Thanks Brian
I'll change that out while I am changing the fluid. I added some info. to the 314 motor mount thread. If you get a chance have a look at what I posted and let me know what you think. The mount is going to be OK. It's the drive shaft that I need advice on.
