Hi All

Rally on Sunday theme is pigs and potatoes I am taking George and my drill ploughs

dont laugh but what is a drill plough and how does it work? I am not sure I have seen a rig quite like the one you have there. Good luck at the outing and hope you have a good time.

Here are some pictures taken at Cupar rally

The last pic is of a toolbar that i acquired of flea bay

 

in the uk  since the horse era and before carrots turnips cabbage  were on top of drills potatoes were planted in the bottom of the drills then were furrowed up with earth on top  of planted potatoes then they were grubbed harrowed down then furrowed up the weeds were kept moving during the growing season not like now everything depends on weed-killer

Hi

The pale blue tractor is a Ransome MG 2 from the forties the other is a Ransome MG 5 from the fifties thanks for your comments

More nice tractors that I've never seen before .   It looks like those potato diggers have 2 sets of round bars ?  One below the other .
