Hi all,

I just picked this up yesterday at an engine show.  The guy I got it from said it was a Garden Mark.  There is no model tag anywhere on it that i can find.  The decals on the hood I can make out 1000 and the letters C, A, N, D.  On the other side standing in the right spot it appears to say Commander.  The body looks to be a gold color and under the hood is white.  It has a 3 speed peerless trans and a Kohler K241as 10hp engine.  I ran the spec # through the Kohler website and it says it was sold to Gilson.  A quick google search came up with 6 different companies that bought the tractor from them.  Any idea from the pics which one sold it?

And also someone used it for a little target practice  :wallbanging:  Doesn't appear to have damaged the flywheel but it broke the aluminium starter/generator pulley but missed the belt cover.  And the 2 holes in the lower edge of the hood go right through the gas tank too.  Thanks in advance,      Stewart

Gilson C ( commander) series. Originally designed, built, and sold by Burns Manufacturing Company. They made them for various companies before being bought out by Gilson. Gene

The rear fenders gives up the ghost on this one, the Pencraft also a Burns MFG product have very similar fenders.
