How do you guys balance your mower blades? Or do you?

Nail driven through the primer pocket of a .45 acp cartridge leaving the brass loose enough to spin. Been working well for many years.

I've got a small plastic balancer I use. It's similar to this.

But mine is home made out of wood.  Works quite well.  I also check balance each time I sharpen the blades.

My Simplicity ZTR is 10 years old, bearings still good, some luck, some using good blades. I sharpen mine with a file not a grinder, less heat, more accurate for me. I also straight edge mine on all sides.

i have the cone type balancer, use it at times but usually cant find the thing when i need it so a nail works great...years ago I worked on a golf course and they never balanced blades ...didn't seem to affect anything but then we never were fast enough doing anything so the balance thing was probably just passed  off as not needed
