I bought this tractor with intentions of using it to do my driveway this winter. I never ended up using it, My plans have changed and I already have another tractor that I do my lawn with. So I decided to let this one go. I believe its a 1987.

*Single Cylinder 18hp. - Runs
*I have all the side canvas although the windows need replacing.
*Previous owner just put $500 in the blower. He had all the bearings etc replaced.
*It also includes the mower deck. Its in really nice shape as the unit has been used mostly for snowblowing.
* Also has chains , tire weights and ballast box and mannual
* Rear PTO

When I purchased it I replaced the fuel pump as I had a crack in it and was leaking oil. I also replaced the gasket on the crankcase breather, fuel filter and air cleaner. Its been sitting in the garage ever since.

Update: I was asking $1500 for this tractor but when I was out in the garage I noticed it was leaking oil. I'm not sure from where. I have no desire or no time to mess with it. That being said I lowered the price to $1000.

This is a S-18, not a GT18. Year would be 70 something

Let's see. Wrong model, age off by 10 years and OP says mower is "really nice". Lowers price by $500 because he just discovered an oil leak. No thanks.

Just because you know everything doesn't mean you need to criticize a less knowledgeable member.

I believe New holland actually sold the rights and blue prints to Ariens.

The S-18 was the biggest of the S class. I overhauled one a few years back. It was in a boneyard not too far from home and it had a deck that was mint so I bought it and kept the deck for my S-16, rebuilt the tractor and sold it for a profit. Not a big deal whatsoever! Just wanted to bring attention to what could be a misunderstanding.
