Well some of you may have picked up from my posts here that I work as a Paramedic. This week is EMS week. Every year in our area EMS week is a fairly big seal for us. Hospitals give out T shirts and there are more than a few cook outs. This year is kind of extra special as it marks the 50 year anniversary of organized EMS. A lot of people have given a lot of themselves over the years and its nice sometimes just to say thanks.

I'm not normally one to look for a lot of bravado regarding my chosen career by 50 years is pretty much a milestone. So as you make your way around this week should you get the chance to stop and say hey to any of my comrades in your area it would be most appreciated

Thanks for your time and effort and professionalism for those all those years you have served. It's National Police week as well. The wife and I have a combined nearly 50 years in Law Enforcement and 35 years in EMS and Firefighting. I still have a lot of friends working the mean streets every day answering calls and putting their live on the line for our citizens. As well I saw if you wander across a Firefighter, Paramedic / EMT, or police Officer in your travels, stop take a moment and tell them thanks for all they do. They don't get the thanks they so deserve all the time. Not all calls responded to are one that you really want to remember but they stay with you the rest of your life. A nice thank you once in a while is well appreciated.                                                                                           Roger

I think I owe apology or at least a little clarifying. EMS in general is 50 years old. Although I also am a 1966 model that was my birth year. Only been riding around in the ambulances for 25.

Thank you  all for your reply's.
