The engine stalls when it's PTO is engaged I have every wire hooked up correct to the safety switches it runs my tractor I'm not missing any extra wires .

does it have mechanical pto or electric pto?

is there a safety switch in the dash tower that the pto lever makes contact with?

Without a model number can't look at the wiring diagram.

Will guess if battery ignition it is powered by the seat switch with operator in the seat when the pto is on. Powered by the pto switch when pto is off.

If magneto ignition the seat switch should be open with operator in the seat and the pto on.

Likely the seat switch is your problem. It thinks you fell out of the seat with the mower going.

Yep, sound like safety switch to me too. Either under the seat or at the pto lever or a broken wire in between.

I think everyone's right about the seat switch. The two switches (PTO and seat) work in tandem so when you engage the PTO, it "looks" for the seat switch. If you take the model number and serial number to your local Toro dealer, they should have them on hand.

I remember now because I replace the 308's fender pan on another tractor C-125 Auto had a better one to use with no paint flaking or rust . I need to put the old seat switch in this other fender pan .

I put swaped seat switches around that was in the 308 not it works with the PTO engaged .
