With regards to the picture: " You live in New York and you think YOU live in a rough neighborhood?" In all seriousness, I had to chase a black bear out of my yard a couple of years ago. Big one too.

Well!. . .     well. . .     I can top that. I got one living under my garbage can in Illinois!!!

 A bear or a groundhog? When I used to live in Guelph Ontario I had something living under one of my sheds. I never actually saw it, but I could see the burrow and the feces around it. I am fairly certain that it was a skunk. It never caused me any trouble so I just let it be. I sold that house to a neighbor and he pointed it out with great concern . I pointed out that he had lived 2 doors down from me for nearly 4 years and asked him if he had ever seen the neighborhood skunk. He said he didn't even know we had a skunk. I pointed out that the skunk had been living under that shed before he moved into the neighborhood, so if he wasn't aware it existed, it likely would not be a problem.
