Brought the GT18 in the shop today. The deck was in desperate need of a cleaning and the tractor needed a service.

All new filters (motor oil, trans oil and air filter) as well as fresh motor oil and topped off the trans.

Greased all nipples and mower gear box and gave her a much needed bath. Should be ready for the season now!

My grandfather isn't as mobile and able as he once was so he hasn't really been keeping up with the maintenance schedule. Hasn't been cleaned in a dog's age either.

Pulled the deck off and this is what I saw! 91df4046cb6e7553dda416398a3bd9a2.jpg8ec88b006278d4f182d9e01e18922bc3.jpgcee7a11471befe0f4697318cefa56c03.jpgba65409955cafd270f18310678dcd880.jpg

And this is how it looks after being cleaned up. 744b1e8d69a206cd97e85af74d7276ab.jpgb0957e02fd5397b2d21f47ab943aa604.jpg

You removed the protective layer of grass!  :D

I'm sure the tractor and your grandfather will appreciate the help/maintenance.  It looks like he's been cutting some wet grass...for a while.

I think you're right!
