A friend of my wifes and minecalled us to do an auction for her,Her husband had died a few years ago and she wanted to sell his shop so she didnt have the worry of it anymore,My wife and I went and looked at it(it was a thriving though small auto and small engine repair shop on the main street in our town2 blocks from my house.I always thought it was just another empty building since I moved here 3 years ago.My wife knew I always wanted a real nice shop that I could do anything I wanted to from and she told me to see about buying it,The friend said she would rather sell it to us and see it make someone happy. So we bought it lock stock and barrel, all the tools and inventory and the building, for exactly what she asked me for it $15.000!I think I did real well and all of us are real happy.I will get pics of the outside soon but here are the inside pics and some of the tools as it is right now. Please do ask questions and have suggestions for me,I am going to move my shop tools to the new shop soon and could use help desighning the layout for the tools

Wow you came out like a bandit. Will you be running a business out of this shop? A shop is pretty much like a kitchen to a cook. Keep things out that you use daily, store others high & away. Keep your work areas in sequence to the operation of what your doing to keep walking around at a minimum. Hang the same basic tools in various places in the shop so you can simply reach instead of walking on the other side. Having all this at one time could be overwhelming. Take your time planning & of coarse keep us updated. Congrats!

Great looking work area.
Good idea on the small engine stuff... Just don't get so big that someone thinks it's a 'business'
