Several weeks ago I was given a 1974 C160 with the Tecumseh OH160 engine. http://gardentractor...c160-1-tolland/ The ignition switch and gas tank are missing. I have tried to find the correct switch for this but they keep coming up as the battery ignition type which would destroy the Tecumseh ignition. I've gone through our Manuals Section and the manuals that were included with the C160. Near as I can figure, the switch used on a 1971 seems right. Its WH #8362. Does anybody have a description of the switch. I have over a dozen new switches of a variety of types(from the old Bolens Dealer that I bought out). Good Luck, Rick

Its a special type switch priced at about $58.00 from any Toro dealer

Those tecumseh ignition modules were pretty unique at the time and the Bolens switch used with the OH was also a funky looking one

Thanks, Dr Bolens but that doesn't match behind the dash. The connector for the wires is 5 blades and the blades are parallel. I have 6 switches with the same pattern. I think that I will just have to draw up a wiring diagram of what is there and what each switch does in each position until I find one that does what I need. Thanks, Rick

I have the switch you need in stock $33.88 plus shipping. Also there was two different switches used on the 160. One for the gear drive and a different one for the automatic. The price I gave is for the auto and if you have a gear drive that one is cheaper.

Have never found a manual for the 1-0385 but the online Toro parts lists show the very common 103991 magneto switch

This is a Stens dealer
