New Jersey is the 3rd smallest state in the union yet has 9,800 farms, and 790,000 acres of farm land. It is ranked second in blueberry production third in cranberry, fourth in bell pepper's fourth peach's and lettuce . It also produces a large amount of tomatoes, potato's and a variety of other produce. Here's my contribution to the stateIMG_1429.JPG  .  hahahahahaha    lol is so yesterday.  Hank.

Most of us do not think of Nj as an agricultural state. We forget that being so close to the largest city in the nation there is a tremendous market for produce.

I heard a sports commentator commenting on Penn. States incredible ability to recruit atheletes. He pointed out that 1/3 of the nations total population was within a 300 mile radius of Happy Vaalley.
Nice Garden!

Hey Shorty, the plastic is the way to go I've used it for three seasons basically eliminates weeding which I hate. It comes 100' by 6' not cheap 75.00 but ask my back if its worth it... I just make an x 4" by 4" for plants and 1" hole for seed careful so plant comes thru the hole I plant string beans this way, for carrot or onion simply make a slit to accommodate as many seed as you want. I have used the same plastic for three years and will last longer than that I'm sure. Try it you'll love it. Hank
