Got tierd of always having to start the tractor up and mount the splitter to split wood. I converted it over to its own power unit. I used the rear frame axle out of a old viking GT ,used a hydralic tank and pump out of a old MF 610 combine. The Motor is brand new the other day from Princess Auto. So once the new motor was installed I took what I needed all apart and painted it up.Now it'll be ready to use come fall wood splitting.

That is the only way to go.  I pull mine to the wood pile in the timber and split the wood there.  Saves the mess around the buildings.

Nice looking splitter. Thats what I would like to do to mine. I have a 10 hp Briggs, just need a pump and a tank. But mine would not be as pretty as that one.
