Hi everyone. this is my very 1st post so please bare with me. I have a very old lawn tractor that has seen it's better days. It is an "electric start wizzard 6 speed" I want to fix it up to use again because I have never encountered any other "wizzard" tractors before. I need some input on the history of them, And where I can find out more info on them.

Thanks
ff1811

Wizzards were sold by Western Auto

I have a old wizzard tiller and have seen a wizzard lawn tractor, I think both were built by MTD.

 ff1811 Welcome to GTTalk! We're glad to have you with us! Sorry that I can't help with your request, but good luck on the restoration. Sounds like it will be a challenge, but those are the best kind!

I have a wizard, is it green or ?

Mine is a variable speed unit, hasn't moved in years because I'm looking for a steering gear. I had to repower it when I got it, nice little mower... Ran it for a couple years before the steering went.

Somewhere I have a manual. I will try to find it and scan it in, gimme a few days.

:welcome: to GTTalk!

I have seen Wizzards with 5, 8, 12, and 14 horsepower. I'm sure there is a broader range than that! Here's a pic of the 12. WELCOME !!!DaleWizzard 12.jpg

Mine is definitely not that big. It's an LT, not a GT. Still haven't located the manual... Put it where I'd know where it was...
