Wow! It can't be May already, can it? I also didn't realize the feature was Allis this year. I'll have to dig the Homesteader out of the shed.

I was at the show ground yesterday helping to get things started. My one job was running Bob's Farmall H to cut the grass in the area used by the exhibitors and I also helped put up the fencing to define the show area. I took a picture of the Farmall H and also the pulling sled to be used this year. (Because everybody likes pictures )There will be fun pulls Friday and Saturday. The cost to pull is still just $2 a hook.

The rototiller plot prep contest will be Friday at 6 p.m.

The garden tractor plowing contest will be Saturday at 10 a.m.

I recently got home and took a nice long hot shower after spending about 7 hours helping at the show grounds today. There are so many things that need to be done and most are somewhat time consuming but have to be done for a good show.

My one surprise this year is the street sign for Steffie Drive. It has been the landmark for the last turn to make to get to the show grounds.Every year it has been almost hidden by a homeowner's tree that desperately needed to be trimmed. You can see the sign now because the tree wasn't just trimmed, it was removed.

I hauled a load to the show this morning. My two Bolens and the golf cart filled the trailer. I like it better when George does the strapping down but I left home with three pieces and got to the show with three still on the trailer. I mowed the grass in the parking area while I was there, so one more thing off the to do list.

I took a few pics to share.
