I'm putting my neighbors 6Hp Tecumseh back together. I removed the head , cleaned the carbon, cleaned and lapped the valves, etc. Now I'm ready to torque the head bolts and I see one bolt sits under the gas tank mount. Anyone have an idea how to properly torque it? I can't leave the bracket off because 2 other head bolts hold it on.

Stack a couple of flat washers on the bracket bolts w/o the bracket. Go thru the torque sequence, remove the two bracket bolts, remove washers, attach bracket and retorque the two bolts. Or you could holesaw a hole in the bracket for access to the covered bolt.
