Hello, guys! I'm a fresh here. I've just moved into a house for the first time. Previously, in my country (I'm not from USA), I haven't use a lawn mower. Can I show you a review and ask for a piece of advice, please?

I'm looking for a lawn mower for the first time, and don't know for sure which model is better to buy. Gasoline or electric? I found a review on bestadvidor.com and as it says, WORX is the the best pick. Can you recommend any other good models or guide how to choose a lawn mower? Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to GTtalk.  Glad u found this site.  bunch of great people here.

Buying your first mower?  awesome!  So many choices to choose from.  You have think about how much yard you have to mow, if you will need a push type mower or a riding mower.  Also think about how u plan to store your new mower when not using it.

As far as brands go there are many to choose from.  Everyone has their favorites, but they all do the same thing....mow.  big box type stores will have several to choose from, dealerships type stores will usually have fewer.  Find a store that might offer product demonstration for you, to help you decide.  Take your time, find the one that works well for you.

Good luck!  Please let us know what you get!

I don't know a lot about the new motors, the newest tractor I own is a 1992 John Deere 318.  Kohler is usually pretty good, Briggs and Stratton is good,

The most important thing about what you decide to buy is to take good care of it after you buy it.  Keeping the oil reservoir full, changing the oil as required, etc.  is very important to making it last longer.  Always take a look at what you are going to mow before hand to find rocks, logs, cans, stumps, etc. in the grass and remove or avoid them so that you don't damage your new mower when mowing.

Welcome aboard! As has been said, what you get will be determined by the size of what needs mowing. My yard is big, well over an acre with lots of variables; trees, flower beds, gardens etc. to mow around. Last summer while at a yard sale I picked up a little Yard-man Pace Setter with front wheel assist, 6.75 h.p., for $100.00. I knew the seller, and it was hardly used, new price close to $400.00. I find it really handy for the places I can't get to with the riding mower, and the front assist is nice on the straighter stretches. For what it's worth to you, it works for my situation.

:welcometogttalk:

All depends on what you plan on doing with a "mower" and how much $$ yo want to spend.

I don't spend much money on my GT's but I have LOTS of them, and each one has a specific duty!
