Ford LGT 125 cranked but would not start: $500. Not me.

Lots of good stuff with it, a decent deal at $500, I would think

I was willing to go to $350 on it if it started. I would of gone $500 if the deck was a 50". I's a cheap bassturd, a trait I picked up from this forum. It's a prerequisite if you wanna be a moderator.

I hear ya on the cheap part.....I picked up this lot last summer for $200....by the time I rebuilt 2 engines, I have about $800 invested, still not too bad.

The LGT 125 was a hydrostatic.
They all came with hydro lift.
The LGT 100 ( ten horse ) was a standard trans.
That came with a manual lift.
The tractor was worth $350 not running.
The complete set of factory wheel weights was worth close to $350.
The rear PTO and tiller was worth $350.
The 50" deck is worth less than the 42" deck because you can't get blades for it.
The 42" deck would be worth $200 if it was in good shape.
The front blade is of no value.
If it had a set of Ford script hub caps would you have gone $375?
I think I might have gone to $750 on that package.

That's why I stayed home and watched the auction online. I knew I couldn't resist if I was there in person.

If it had the two stage blower instead of the blade, then I would of gone whatever it took to get it. Hubcaps would of made no difference to me.

Sorry to disagree......I own 2 125s with hydro trans and manual lift...here is one

You could also get a 120 (12hp with std trans and manual lift)....I have never seen one of those

Yup ! The 125s ALL CAME FACTORY WITH MANUAL LIFT! The hydraulic lift was an option that was pretty $$ for the 125's. And you were better off buying the 145 as it had more power too. This was standard for all the LGT series up to the end of the Jake made units. The handles had to be removed for them to work safely , and a cover plate installed. This is what made this option so $$$

Actually its an LGT 165 under the disguise of a 125. Larger air cleaner and exhaust pipe. Well worth $750. Agree with you Rock Farmer on values.
