Apparently there is suppose to be some sort of a belt drive that takes the drive of the belt from vertical to horizontal on the 110 John deere tractors. Mine is missingk.

I do not know what it is called but, if anyone has a spare, please reply. Must be a belt PTO or some such.

Thank You very much. in advance.

It's called the front mule. You can still find them around. :-)

That's the one for the early 110. The later ones are different.

They have many listed.

Thank You guys very much.

HA ! ! ! ! The "Mule" is there.

I also have this other drive that needs to be mounted. I do have a new idler for it, yet to be installed.

So, the belt must have to have a twist in it to make the transition from vertical to horizontal, would that be correct ?

Nope... that is a v-belt that runs between the two bullies on the tractor and the tensioner/clutch assembly tightens the belt between the pullies in the pics.

So, am I missing something between the mule and the mower deck, It just does not seem right that the belt would have a 180 degree twist in it to take the power from horizontal to vertical.

Or, am I over thinking this ?

There is a belt that runs from the inside pulley on the mule drive to the deck and there is a twist in it.

The part numbers depend on the serial number of the tractor and the mower deck.
