Working on an 8hp B&S 190402 2815-01 87091101 on a Troy Bilt Horse. The problem is it keeps blowing oil out the breather. I've replaced the breather, made sure all the drain holes are clear, checked the valve clearance which is in spec, and inspected the cylinder which looks great and the oil is at the proper level with no gas in it. The compression feels good and it runs great just blowing oil out the breather and making a mess. It's got me stumped. Thanks

Generally that starts to happen on an engine with alot of cylinder blowby  at the rings if you already tackled the usual suspect areas and replaced the breather.

Likely to correct that a set of rings may be in order

See if the air filter is plugged.  Could be trying to suck air from the crank case.

Not as likely, but easy to check and cheap to fix.

Still does it with the air filter off. It's also been kicking back every once in awhile. Flywheel key is fine, but replaced it anyway and it still does it. Valve clearance is in spec
