It appears Eastman Industries, the owner of Ingersoll Tractors, is out of business.  They lost the lease on their building and all manufacturing equipment was placed into semi trailers and hauled away.

They are not officially bankrupt.

Its unclear if the equipment was repo'd or just moved while awaiting a new facility.    It'll take a gobb and a bunch of funds to get a new place and get up and running again.   Funds that likely are not available.

It is a dangerous world out there for business right now. It is a shame, soon most names we know will be disappearing into the mist to be replaced by plastic and a promise of inferior equipment!

China men will buy it and sell it back to us cheaper in many ways!  They are taking everything of value from US any more.

You can't sell a product that you don't promote. I have 7 places within 25 miles of me where I can buy a GT or a SCUT. There is not even an Ingersoll dealer in my state.

They build a great product. Maybe they should consider telling someone about it.

I realize Eastman is more than just the Ingersoll line. What exactly else, we're not quite sure.

I always thought that Ingersoll was Ingersoll Rand... the company that makes air tools air compressors and more... they aren't?
