Any of you Original lovers ever come across a suitable replacement for the air cleaner cup? Mine's missing and I'd rather not spend what they're bringing on that auction site. There has to be something out there that uses a similar air cleaner or some kind of cup that has similar dimensions. Hopefully the Crud Cadet will have a new nickname by the end of the summer!

If it has a new look by the end of the summer how are you going to win the title for Ugly tractor of the month for two years in a row?

I think the oil bath air cleaner that is on the Bolens Ride-A-Matic is pretty similar and they also have Kohlers on them.

I'm going to run if I can get that 12H going George, LOL

That will give the Crud C a run for it's money!

would something like This 7 Hp Tecumseh H70 Horizontal Shaft Engine Air Cleaner | eBay
fit with the hood closed?

It would look decent if it will clear the hood.
You might have to modify it to fit the Kohlers Carb.
Those cleaners are about 4 inches O and 4 inches deep.I don't have one laying around to get accurate measures.

The Tecumseh filter will stick out a bit,but it will fit with the hood closed.

Here's a CCO with small round Kohler type air cleaner.

Thread bump. still wondering about a replacement oil bath cup. Any of the newer members have any ideas. Currently I have installed a paper filter from a CC 70.

No, I haven't. Always forget to bring a tape measure when I stumble across one.

The breather cup is about 3 in. by 3 in. with round bottom I have a few of them complete an don't won't to brake up a complete breather. I seen one at cubarama that had a plastic cup on the bottom of it an wire holding it on. he had removed the handle an painted it yellow. He told me I was the first to notice. Hope this helps jpcubs
