I am looking for a heavy duty garden tractor (1980's-90's) with a foot hydro peddle. I know of only the Ford LGT series. Are there other tractor makes and models that you all can suggest? also let me know if you have one for sale. I live in central Mass.

Welcome aboard. The Massey 1450,1650,1655 and 1855's are all foot operated hydros. Along with the Snapper 1650, 1655 and 1855. All very capable tractors. Just scroll in your local classifieds for garden tractors. There is a for sale section on the site here too. Are you partial to a special make of tractor?

If you want to spend the money, I think there is some JD's that had foot controls, I think my coworker's 425 has all foot controls.

Maybe a bit later model than what you're looking for (began in '98), but the best $ I ever spent was on a Simplicity Legacy.  Now commonly found near or below $2k with under 1000 hours.  3pt capable, shaft drive, power steering and the best cut of anything else you will find.  I've even found them south of $1500, and bought one for $700.  Deals are out there for a vigilant shopper...

The other awesome feature is foot control implement lift.  Really frees up the hands.

The big JD's such as the 425, 445 and the X4x5, 5x5 series and later renamed the 700series. These are all 3 point hitch and loader compatible. Also the 300 series tractors that came after the 318 such as 345 gx series etc. but they don't have factory 3 points or loaders. A 345gx is a very nice tractor though, with 1" front spindles, power steering and a dif lock.

ALL of the Bolens hydros are foot controlled.

They were the first to do that in 1967 when they released the 1250.

ETA:  For a good  'heavy duty GT' it's pretty hard to beat the 2-cyl. large frames: 1886, HT18, HT20, and HT23.

They were some of the best GTs ever built.
