So I've have the loader a few years keeping an eye out for a tractor it'll fit, well found one 6 miles from my house, lady said I could have it, engine is stuck, I'll see what is going on with it, maybe repower, thought you might enjoy some pictures though

Looks like a good fit for the loader!

My wife bought a GILSON S-14 H so I have become interested in WARDS & GILSON a little more than before!

That is a really nice find. Had a Johnson loader on my S14 some years ago. Used the tiller for counterweight. Worked really well but i got tired of the hard steering. Keep it really well greased and extra air pressure in front tires. Love those old Briggs, hope you can get it going. Gene

I'm wondering what I may be able to do for a steering upgrade, its really rough without the loader let alone with, I poured some diesel into the cylinder letting it set, haven't tried really hard to turn it over yet, I'll let it sit line that for a bit first, hopefully it got parked because it died and humidity got the top a lil stuck, exhaust valve is open, oil looks good though. Time will tell

Wow looks like they were meant for one another. Keep us posted on the engine hopefully something minor. I have pulled the plug & shoot a little Wd40 in the cylinder before & will free them up sometimes.

For sure was, I bought the list from a co-worker, he said his dad had a hydrostat 14 and 16 HP gear drive, but both were long gone, originally I was going to mod it to fit my John Deere 110. But decided to find a wards that it fit. He showed me a picture of one this style, said that's what it fit, missed a nice one last summer by 2 hours, but got one now, so I'm happy

I made a loader like a Buford loader I saw on youtube, but used a winch to lift and a trip bucket.  It was very hard to steer, so I went and put a Isuzu pickup steering box on it.  Cost just $40 for the steering box and really wasn't that  hard to install.  Now it seems like power steering.  I put it on an old Huskee  18hp.

Got her going, gotta add some more rear ballast yet and I ordered tires. Gonna leave the paint as is, planning to add a weight box, think I'll clean the paint off and just let it surface rust up to match the rest of the tractor. Debating adding headlights back to it and maybe replacing the grill too

I kind of hate to even say this, but if you ever want to get rid of that loader, I would be seriously interested.  I have a perfect Montgomery Wards for it.

I don't mean to overstep my bounds here, but the standing rule around here is if you're taking a GT FEL east across the Mississippi River, it comes back with ya or you're staying over there.

Wow, I heard some PD's were having budget cuts but I didn't realize how bad it was. That patrol vehicle is local roads only I bet!
