It doesn't seem possible, but today it is two years since I lost My Olde Deere, and it occurred to me that we do not have a memorial thread to honour our loved ones who have passed. Many of us have lost partners, parents,  relatives, and dear friends since we have become family here. All who have cared and lost should have the opportunity to share and remember them here.   Until we meet again, My Olde Deere.

It sounds like something we should have. Maybe we could make this thread a sticky.  and remember it every year like the birthdays.

I'm glad you mentioned this Ole Deere. Every time you post I think about there used to be two of you.

Yes, I too believe that we should have a memorial thread here. I lost my best friend, my Dad, six days ago. I spent day after day, night after night, in the hospital with him until he passed away. We were able to talk about many things that we weren't able to talk about when he was healthy. I always lived within two miles of my parents, so we were together often. Our last day together was by far, the toughest day of my life. I couldn't have asked for better parents or a better childhood. My Mom found this picture today of my Dad and I from July 4th 1979. He had this picture, along with some others in a drawer, next to his chair in the living room.

Sorry for your loss Classic. Not easy losing someone that your close to. Nice picture. Lost my dad over twenty years ago, I still think of him.

And Olde Deere's, that's a good idea, and hard to believe some times, how time flies.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, Classic. It is wonderful that you could spend those last days at his bedside with him.

Classic, I feel your loss. As with all who have lost loved ones, we know the feelings! oldedeeres, I am glad you have hung around with us.

Just for folks info, I lost my Dad in 1970, middle brother in 1976, Mom in 1979, and oldest brother in 1987. Terry passed in 2011. So I am the lone survivor and only have my kids and grand kids to bring joy into my life! Of course, I have all of you that keep me going every day!

I'm sorry for your loss...we were all saddened by his passing.

I have lost several family members and friends already in my 32 years. But we will all meet again.

A memorial thread is a neat idea. I think we have all shared stories of our loved ones. Be neat to have them all in one thread.

Yes it makes me think of the ones who have gone.I do miss both my brothers and parents. Many times just out of the blue I'll think about them and wonder about all the times we had etc:
