well i got it dirty today . i mowed the yard took the deck off hooked up the disk and pulled it through the garden . after all that i ran it over to the hose as fast as i could and cleaned it lol wax tomorrow .

Gary , just a question about the painting? Is that finish right out of the gun or did you wet sand and buff out the final coat?

Have todo painting on my mine, so just curious,

the holes in the finder are for the tool box which i think really looks good on it. :yelclap:


I just restored a 1987 316. I was pretty happy with my paint job..til i saw yours..lol. nice job!

no i have not color sanded it yet and not sure im going to . that is right out of the gun

i use a after market paint , i used Van Sickle paint . i worked at a john deere dealership for a few years in there paint shop and i do not care for there paint . dont get me wrong there paint is fine but when your done it doesn't lay down as good as this paint and theres not much difference in price . just be sure to use the hardener as they recommend and it will look as smooth as glass when you finish . i have painted several big tractors with this paint and some along time ago and they still look good .
