Like all projects this one is turning into a headache, more ripping and tearing I thought I was gaining ground. Found the center cross member had a rotted hole, how do you suppose all that crap got in there ? I hate mice and squirrels!!! If I had planned this out better I would have just saved the floor pans and other small stuff and just made a new trailer frame. Tomorrow I will try to roll that tube.

Looks like you are doing a really nice rebuild/repair. I found these, don't know if you have seen these or not.

More hacking and tearing today, feel like I am gaining ground. Tried to roll the tube this morning but it didn't work. All I did was wreck it.

Pete, I had promised you pics of my Snowco tongues:

The single axle: SD530958.JPG

The double axle:  SD530959.JPG

I looked at mine while I was out there and they seem worse the closer I look. Nice pics that you have been doing. Good Luck, Rick

thanks boyscout  but neither of those appears to have the winch mount.   anyone else here have a snowco with the winch mount ?  I would love to have pics and dimensions.

that is close but not original, I honestly don't really know exactly what I need I have not been able to find a detailed picture to copy from.  my manual has a good pic in it I will copy and scan it later this weekend.  that one doesn't look like it would work very well when the trailer was tipped back.

Some people don't like the "evil" site, but this is a good thread. There is a lot of pics on it of different trailers.

Looks like few first pics have a winch mount.

I'll check out the two trailers across the street and see if one has the winch mount. If one does, I'll get some measurements for you.

One does have what appears to be a factory winch mount! Got some pics and a few measurements. If more is needed, just holler!

The plate that bolts the mount to the trailer looks to be 1/8" thick and is 5" wide X 7" tall.

The "C' channel the winch bolts to is 3-1/4" wide X about 12" long. It starts out from the rear at 3-1/4" tall and angles down to about 1-1/8" before the end radius. The centerline of the winch wheel (the cable winds around) is about 7-3/4" from the mount end.
