You will have to use the old one to match the new. I picked up an assortment of keys at Harbor Freight years ago. It has had what I needed for atleast ten years now. I save alot of time by having a dozen different assortment boxes in my work area(keys, roll pins, cotter pins, "c" clips, hitch pins, hairclip pins, lock nuts, lock washers, and a bunch more). I've found some nice assortments at Swap Meets. Good Luck, Rick

If you don't have the old one to match up, measuring the width and length of the slot in the shaft will tell you the size.

These things go by number and fractional sizes. Best to take old along or the part it fits if possible. Most hardwares now have those cardboard boxes with odd stuff in them to pick thru. Sometimes you get right width, get home and too big of arc and won't fit down in. That's when the number is a better choice to make complete match. BUT, guess w/out that info you are still kinda guessing.

When you go looking for your key, make sure to get the one with tails, as they dont work out as easily as the plain half moons do.
