I'm new to the group and picked up a 197? 3416H. I'm having problems finding info on this machine. Does it cross reference with a different machine? I'm needing some parts for the snow thrower mostly one of them being part #171388 idler pulley. No problem finding it but was wondering if I could substitute a cheaper pulley?
My machine is in very good shape for its age. Looks like original paint, and not much " shade tree mechanics ". I noticed the park break was missing. As well as a few parts from the snow thrower. Can anyone suggest a good place to get parts, new or used. Thanks!

Hi there, I recommend getting a good quality idler pulley there are heavy duty and light duty in the same size....you need a heavy duty.

The parking brake on the hydo is not a big issue, I may have some parts you need on a spare 3415 I have.

Here is a pic of my 3415H

Welcome to GTT. That is a very good tractor. Try our Manuals Section for the info you need. I think that your tractor is from 1972. May parts are generic. You can get them from our sponsors or a local auto parts place may have them. I use NAPA alot. Check out www.simpletractors.com for the history of Simplicity tractors. Please include pics with questions because they can really clarify what you mean. Good Luck, Rick
